Bromic Heating is unique in being the only company to design, engineer and manufacture gas, electric and portable outdoor heating products. Below we will take you through a quick guide to help you make the right decision when selecting your new outdoor heater.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bromic heaters can be plugged into an electrical outlet and turned on using an electric switch. Please note that a licensed technician must install your Bromic heaters.

Yes - Bromic gas heaters have an electric ignition which requires an electrical supply.

No - the gas heaters are either on or off, which means the heat cannot be adjusted.

Other than our Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Gas Portable, Bromic Smart-Heat™ outdoor heaters must be installed by a licensed technician.

The performance of any outdoor heater can be affected by environmental factors such as wind. However Bromic heaters have the highest wind resistance of any outdoor heaters on the market and perform well at wind speeds up to 13mph, making them by far the best-in-class. While built from premium materials and engineered for longevity, we do recommend that our Smart-Heat™ gas, electric and portable outdoor heaters are best mounted undercover and not directly exposed to salt mist, rain or snow.

Bromic always recommends mounting under a cover for maximum life. The platinum and tungsten gas heaters are constructed using stainless steel to help ensure maximum life in the outdoor environment. Stainless Steel offers greater protection against corrosion however like all ferrous metals, it is not completely corrosion resistant. To maximize the life of your platinum heater it is therefore important that frequent cleaning is performed and appropriate care is taken.

Clean the heater weekly during regular use and at least monthly when not in use. To clean effectively, Bromic recommends the following:

  • Apply 3M™ stainless steel cleaner and polish to protect the stainless steel from corrosion (NOTE: Cleaner should not be applied on any internal heater components or any other parts which come into direct contact with flame).
